Albert Fish was a housepainter and a father to six children.Albert Fish was also a child molester, cannibal and serial killer claiming to have attacked over 100 children.
Albert Fish was born in washington DC, his father was a seventy five year old River boat Captain. Mental problems were a common occurance in his family with one member suffering religious mania. One of his brother's was feeble minded while the other was an alcoholic. At five he was placed in a orphange after his fathers death.
When he was 49 years old his wife left his for another man, after which his murderous behaviour began to show. His victims were children who liked Albert because of his grandfather like appearance. He was a vicous sadist who performed unthinkable tortures on the children, his own children were forced to beat their masochistic father. Albert had cannabalistic fantasies and collected the newspaper clippings of other cannibals of the time.
In 1928 Fish indulged his taste for human flesh on twelve year girl named Grace Budd. Her parents were friends with Fish and when he offered to take her to a party they trustingly agreed. Instead he took the girl to his Wisteria cottage in Westchester County.He stripped himself down and strangled, beheaded and dismembered the child with a meat cleaver. He then cooked her in a stew with onions and carrot and ate every last bite before vanishing.
Several years later, Grace's parents recieved a note telling them exactly what he had done to their daughter, the letter was traced and Albert Fish was caught.The jury ignored his insanity pleaand he was sentenced to death by electric chair.
A routine X-Ray showed that over the years Fish had inserted 29 separate needles around his groin, several were large sailor needles.He also inserted needles into his child victims.
He was executed on January 16, 1936. He was quoted saying "It will be the supreme thrill, the only one I haven't tried!" while waiting to be executed. He even helped the executioner attach the electrodes to his leg.
Another quote he said was. " I learned to like the taste of human flesh many years ago during a famine i China. It is comething like veal. Little girls have more flavour than litle boys"
